Iran Shoots Down 42 US Fighter Jets, War Costs Rise to $29 Billion

A Pentagon official said the war's cost is now $29 billion. This was said at a hearing on May 12.
Three aircraft were shot down by mistake over Kuwait. This caused $300 million in damage. The report confirms earlier reports.

Four F-15E Strike Eagles were lost. Each costs $90 to $125 million. Three were shot down over Kuwait. One was shot down over Iran.
The US also lost an F-35A, an A-10, and seven KC-135 aircraft. These are very expensive planes.
Twenty-four drones were also lost or damaged.
One drone costs $30 to $34 million. But with all the equipment, it costs $56.5 million.
