And you're a big K-pop fan.

We had Audrey Nuna on the show, and she was, uh,

2:01
but I had no idea that it was going to be this.
2:03
And it's just great to be a part of.

But this -- this made me laugh,
2:09
because I know you have a great sense of humor.

2:33
If you're hopeful that you're going to win,
2:36
you've got a camera in your face,
2:38
and you're just kind of like, you know,

5:39
Here's Daniel Dae Kim in "K-Everything."
5:41
Take a look at this.
5:43
-Korea's drinking culture, I can honestly say,
5:45
is unlike any other I've experienced on Earth.
5:48
For starters...
5:49
Who's the oldest? Who's the youngest?
5:51
...there are rules.
5:53
I'm sure I'm the oldest.
5:54
I'm the oldest. I'm sure of it.
5:56
One -- respect your elders.
6:05
When the youngest pours, he pours with two hands
6:08
to everyone as a show of respect.
6:11
-Now, before we go... [ Cheers and applause ]

that you wanted to show me. -Mm-hmm.
6:19
-Yes. Now explain this to me, and what is this?
6:21
-Aha! Now we're getting serious.
6:23
All right. [ Cheers and applause ]
6:25
All right. -This is a soju bomb?
6:27
-Yeah. So, Jimmy, you and I have never gone drinking in K-Town,
6:30
so I thought I would bring K-Town to you.
6:33
-My man. Come on! That's what I'm talking about.
6:35
-All right. So, I'm taking off my jacket for this.
6:38
-All right. Perfect. I love it. -We're getting ready?
6:39
-Yes. -All right. So...
6:41
[ Cheers and applause ] So, uh, you know,
6:44
when you go out drinking in K-Town,
6:45
one of the things that Koreans love to do is mix soju,
6:48
which is this distilled alcohol right here.
6:51
And that can be distilled from many different things --
6:53
uh wheat grapes rice.
6:57
But it's lower in alcohol content than vodka.
7:00
So it mixes really well with stuff like juices and beer.
7:05
So a really popular drink is soju mixed with beer,
7:08
or maekju, as they call it, so it's called Somaek.
7:11
Okay? -Somaek okay.
7:12
-Yeah. So it's kind of like, um, a boilermaker, you know?
7:15
When you drop whiskey into a beer.
7:17
-Yeah. -And so this is
7:19
the Korean version of that.
7:21
So I thought we would make what's called a soju bomb.
7:24
-Okay.
7:25
-Now, this is a whole elaborate thing
7:28
that Koreans do when they -- when they make their soju.
7:30
You know what I mean? Like, it's a whole thing.
7:32
-You have things here. Yeah -- oh.
7:34
-Yeah, and the way you open all this stuff, it's all very...
7:36
[ Cheers and applause ]
7:38
It's all very gusto. -That was already magic.
7:39
-That was already -- wow.

-So, what we do is, we pour a little shot in.
7:43
-Okay. -And, Jimmy, I want you
7:45
to do this with me, all right?
7:46
'Cause it's a very communal thing.
7:48
-Thank goodness we're almost at the end of the show.
7:49
Yeah yeah. Okay perfect.
7:51
-And the start of the night. [ Laughter ]
7:53
All right. So, what have we got here?
7:55
Okay, that's just a little foam. I'll pour a little bit.
7:57
So, the other thing is, uh,
7:59
you know, there's a very -- there are strict rules to
8:02
how people drink in Korea.
8:04
Like, if we were out drinking, we would know each other's ages.
8:06
And then the younger person would have to pour
8:08
for the older person, just like I described in the clip.
8:11
-Also what's happening right now.
8:13
-Yeah, I'm pouring for you.

They get washed, so they're environmentally conscious.

of the beer. Okay? All right, hold on.

8:45
So, the idea is we're going to rest this shot glass on --
8:48

Okay? And you want to rest it in such a way
8:56
that the chopsticks are kind of on the edge of --
