BBC to Show Lost Episode of The Morecambe and Wise Show After Almost 60 Years

A lost episode of The Morecambe and Wise Show from 1968 will be on TV next month.
The episode will be on TV again when Eric Morecambe would have been 100 years old. BBC Four will also show some of their best sketches.
The lost episode was found by a group that saves old films and TV shows. It was in the home of a former TV worker and is now back at the BBC.
The episode is from the first series of their BBC show.
This lost show is the third episode from their first series after they returned to the BBC from another TV station.
The person in charge of BBC Archives said: "Morecambe and Wise are one of the UK's favorite comedy pairs. We're happy to show this funny episode that we thought was lost forever."
The episode has sketches written by Sid Green and Dick Hills. It also has a musical performance from The Paper Dolls.
The lost episode of The Morecambe and Wise Show will be on TV in May.
Eric Morecambe's daughter said: "I'm looking forward to seeing it on TV again after many years."
Eric Morecambe's daughter also said: "It's great that people are finding lost shows. I'm happy it's happening in my father's 100th year."
Eric Morecambe's son said: "I'm thrilled to find a lost Morecambe and Wise show that hasn't been seen since 1968. It's wonderful."
Eric Morecambe's son thanked the team that found the lost episode. He's excited to see it for the first time in many years.
The Morecambe and Wise Show was on TV for nine series and had a Christmas special.
The lost episode will be on BBC Four and BBC iPlayer on May 14 at 8pm.
