A tourist went to Tenerife to get a tan, but something unexpected happened. Vicky Walton went to the popular island, but her trip did not go as planned.

Many people travel at this time of year, but Vicky's trip was not what she expected. She went to Tenerife for sun, but came home with something different.

Vicky shared a video of her trip on TikTok, saying she came for sun, but left with clouds. She also said she would not bring the sun back home.

The video showed that the island was cloudy, and Vicky said it was cold too. Other people had similar experiences.

Another person said the whole island was experiencing bad weather, with a storm alert. They had the coldest winter and intermittent storms for two months.

Someone else said the weather was bad and they would not come back for a long time.

Not everyone had bad experiences, though.

Some tourists said they had good weather during their visits. One person said it was warm that day.

A different person said they came home after a full week of sun. People have had very different holidays.

Tenerife is known for its warm weather, which is why tourists are surprised. The island is often called the 'island of eternal spring'.

The temperature in Tenerife is usually warm, with the south coast being warmer and drier than the north. August is usually the hottest month.

However, the island has been hit by storms, wind, and rain recently. In March, the island was hit by Storm Therese, which brought low temperatures and bleak conditions.

Many tourists have reported that the weather has been more unsettled this year. Some areas have been more affected than others.
