UK's Largest Free Theme Park Reopens for Summer

The 'UK's largest free-entry theme park' has reopened for the summer.
Brean Theme Park in Somerset has been a family-run attraction for decades. It originally opened as a campsite in 1946 and added rides in the 1970s.
It is a favourite among locals and holidaymakers looking for a family day out by the coast. Entry to the park is free, and visitors pay for rides with credits.
The theme park has over 40 attractions for thrillseekers.
Brean Theme Park was forced into liquidation earlier this year. A liquidator was appointed, and the park had significant financial challenges.
But the park has reopened, and it's business as usual. The amusement park is usually open from March to October.
The Park shared a Facebook post on March 20, 2026, saying it was back for another season. They said they couldn't wait to see visitors and make this season the best one yet.
A fan commented on the post: 'Welcome back! The boys love it here!'
A second fan said: 'We always enjoy going, and season passes make it better to see the smiles and laughter from the youngest.'
A third fan noted: 'My boys love the fun fair, crazy golf, and go-kart. I'm happy you're reopening.'
Brean Theme Park calls itself the 'UK's biggest free admission theme park'.
A visitor shared on TripAdvisor: 'Great theme park. Fun activity to pass a few hours. Well presented, nice staff.'
Some visitors have raised concerns over closed rides. A 19-year-old said there was barely anything open for them.
Another visitor commented: 'A great day out with the family. I suggest you buy the day ticket as it works out much cheaper.'
While entry is free, visitors must buy a wristband to enjoy the rides. Wristbands range from £16 to £32.
