I visited a famous tourist site that may never be finished, with 5 million visitors per year

There are many amazing things to see around the world, but they are often old and preserved for their historical importance.

However, one major attraction is different; it's still being built. You can see scaffolding and hear power tools as you walk around.

The Sagrada Familia in Barcelona is a famous landmark. There have been rumors that it will be finished in 2026, 100 years after its architect Antoni Gaudi died.

Our guide, Rosa, said no, the work is not finished yet. Although the church is now at its full height, there is still a lot to do.

We took a tour with Rosa and asked her about the completion date. Some people thought it would be finished this year, while others said it would be 2032 or 2034.

Rosa knew a lot about the building, but she couldn't tell us when it would be finished. Nobody knows, and that's just how it is.

The project is very big, so it's unlikely we'll see it finished in our lifetime. But that's no reason not to visit. The Sagrada is amazing, with a lot of detail and passion in every part.

Even if you only see the outside, the Sagrada has many incredible statues and carvings, each with its own story. You can look at it for a long time and still find new things.

Inside the basilica, it's warm and colorful. The stained glass windows make the interior look different at different times of day. The ceilings are decorated with symbols and mysteries from the bible.

At the end of the tour, you can visit a museum about Gaudí's life and work. It's hard to believe that one person could have envisioned this huge, unfinished project.
