This comes as employees at bank branches located in Dubai, including Citi, were reportedly evacuated from their offices on Wednesday amid “heightened security concerns”. A notice seen by the New York Times reportedly told staff to find “the nearest safe place away from the office” which serves as the company’s Middle East headquarters. Earlier, Iran's IRGC issued a new threat to its neighbours, threatening to target "economic centres and banks" belonging to the US and Israel in the Middle East.
