Directors Leave Hotel Company Board Due to Family Disagreement

Three directors will leave the board of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels on Wednesday.

They were added to improve company management.

Now that management is better, they will focus on other company tasks.

The three directors are Jennifer Duong Young, Wong Ai Ai, and Daniel Marie Ghislain Desbaillets.

Young was added to the board last February, which caused disagreement with Kwek.

Kwek and his son had a public argument.

Sherman Kwek blamed the argument on Catherine Wu.

The lawsuit was dropped after Wu left her role.

The directors are leaving as the property market is getting better and the company will review its strategy.

The company made a profit of S$629.7 million in 2025, and the family is very rich.

Kwek and his family are the second richest in Singapore with a net worth of US$14.3 billion.
