Thomas Tuchel Changes Rule for England Players

Thomas Tuchel has changed the rules.

England manager Thomas Tuchel has allowed the wives and girlfriends of his players into the World Cup training base. This is different from how England camps used to operate under his predecessor.

Tuchel has allowed players' partners into the England squad’s hotel in Florida.

Jude Bellingham’s girlfriend Ashlyn Castro visited the hotel. Harry Kane’s wife Kate and Kobbie Mainoo‘s partner Layla Roye also visited.

Only players and staff were allowed in before, but Tuchel has relaxed the rule. A source said this is unusual, but Tuchel wants a relaxed camp before the World Cup.

Tuchel will give the team time off after their second warm-up game. He wants players to spend time with their partners, friends, and family before the competition.

In 2022, partners of England's footballers stayed on a luxury cruise liner. Southgate had banned players' partners from a World Cup documentary.
