I Visited Europe's Best City Break and It Was Very Cheap

This city stayed safe during World War 2.

It's hard to choose a city break now. Prices are high and many cities are too crowded. This puts me off going to some places.

I visited a city a few months ago and it became one of my favorites. Many people like it too. A survey of over 1,600 people said it's the best destination, even better than Venice.

Kraków is a two-and-a-half hour flight from the UK, making it perfect for short breaks. It used to be known for stag parties, but it has cleaned up its image.

The city is ranked high because of its beautiful buildings. It's also cheaper than many other European cities.

Kraków is even more beautiful when you see it in person.

The city has a big impact on you when you see its buildings. It was occupied by Germans during World War Two, so its buildings are still standing.

Kraków has many old buildings from medieval times. The Old Town walls are still standing, and inside, you'll find old streets and buildings. There's even a McDonald's in a medieval cellar.

The city is old, but it doesn't feel like a museum. The buildings are well-maintained, and the atmosphere is vibrant and friendly.

There's a lot to see in Kraków, and it's easy to walk around. You can take a cheap tram ride or visit the Czartoryski Museum, which has many treasures, including a famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci.

The Czartoryski Museum is one of the most incredible I've visited.

For short breaks, consider taking a Melex tour. It's a bit embarrassing at first, but you'll enjoy being a tourist.

These tours take you to key spots like the Cloth Hall and the Town Hall Tower. They're not very expensive, and the guides are good.

Kraków is a city you can visit without feeling like you're being overcharged. The Old Town is a bit pricier, but it's still cheap compared to other European cities. You can get food and drinks for a low price.

It's no surprise that Kraków scores highly. It offers cheap flights, a clean and beautiful city center, and friendly locals.
