I Visited a Beautiful Asian Country That Rivals Thailand

For those looking for a new holiday spot in Southeast Asia, the Philippines is a great alternative to Thailand.

The Philippines is a very diverse country with a lot to offer, including over 7,600 islands. It has a lot of natural beauty.

I spent four months travelling in Asia and three weeks in the Philippines. I visited five places, but it felt like I only saw a little bit of the country.

Next, we went to Palawan. I got food poisoning, but then we took a boat tour around the islands. We snorkeled, played volleyball, and sang karaoke. The scenery was amazing, with big mountains and beautiful sunsets.

We also tried the local food, which included noodles, BBQ, and lechon, a dish recommended by Anthony Bourdain.

Then we visited Siargao, a beautiful island with a surf culture. It's a popular spot, and many people stay for weeks. I think the Philippines is a better choice than Thailand because it's less touristy and more diverse.
