Japan Increases Visa Fees for Foreign Visitors

The Japanese government has agreed to increase visa fees. The cost of a single-entry visa will rise from 3,000 yen to 15,000 yen.

Fees for multiple-entry visas will also increase, going from 6,000 yen to 30,000 yen.

The Japanese Foreign Minister, Toshimitsu Motegi, says this change will not greatly affect tourism in Japan.
