I tried Jo Malone's new beetroot perfume

Jo Malone London is a well-known perfume brand. They are not cheap, but their products are easy to recognize. When they release new scents, people often want them to come back. I was interested when I heard about their new range, even if it was not what I expected.
Gourmand fragrances smell like food. Last year, Jo Malone had a Raspberry Ripple scent. Now, they have a Veggie range. My colleagues and I were talking about what this would be like.
I thought Velvety Butternut would be the best. Another team member liked Scarlet Beetroot. I got bottles of both, but not Carrot Blossom. The perfumes cost £59 and come in 30ml bottles.

Scarlet Beetroot is a unique scent. It starts with a blackcurrant note that is juicy. Then, it becomes a beetroot and patchouli scent.
It smells earthy and natural. It reminds me of gardening and farmer's markets. This could be a good gourmand scent for those who do not like sweet perfumes.
This is my favorite of the Veggie scents
Velvety Butternut starts with ginger. Then, it becomes a butternut squash scent with patchouli and tonka bean. This is my favorite of the two.
It reminds me of being in the kitchen with my grandmother. It smells like cocoa butter with an earthy touch. This could be a good choice for those who want a comforting scent.
I tried Scarlet Beetroot and Velvety Butternut
When I want an earthy gourmand, I use Lush's Vanillary. I also like Zadig by Zadig & Voltaire, which has ginger and sesame notes.
I have not tried Carrot Blossom, but it has sweet carrot, fennel, and orange flower notes. Carrot is also in Maison Margiela's Autumn Vibes and Tom Ford Soleil Neige.
The patchouli note in this collection makes sense. Patchouli is earthy and woody, so it works well with vegetable fragrances.
I think this is a more approachable gourmand for those who do not like sweet scents.
I think Ginger Biscuits is still my favorite Jo Malone London scent, but this is a good alternative.
