Beverley's consultant said the surgery went well, and they removed two to three lymph nodes. The lymph nodes are like a staircase, and if cancer is in them, it can spread.
The cancer is in the first lymph node but not the second or third. Beverley will send the results to America to see how aggressive the cancer is.
Beverley will know the results in two weeks. If the cancer is aggressive, she will have chemotherapy and then radiotherapy.
If the cancer is not aggressive, Beverley will have radiotherapy as planned. She has to wait again, which is frustrating.
Beverley said the surgery was good news, but the cancer in her lymph nodes is still a worry. She thanks fans for caring and appreciates their comments.
Beverley, who also played Flo Henshaw on Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, revealed her diagnosis in February on RTE's Late Late Show.
