MIT Creates Big Free Math Problem Library

MIT and other groups made MathNet. It is free and on the MIT website. It was made available on April 20.
Countries give each other booklets with math problems. Then, the booklets are mostly lost. MathNet collects these problems.
Each country brings new math problems. They share them, but nobody put them online before.
MathNet has a website with over 30,000 problems and answers.
MathNet has many problems from 17 languages and 143 competitions. It is the biggest collection like this.
Vietnam has 259 problems in the collection.
MathNet has good answers from experts. Other websites have short answers that are not always correct.
Many people checked the answers to make sure they are correct.
A math competition is happening.
The project helps students without good training in their countries.
Some students had to prepare alone. Now, they have a place with good problems and answers.
Making MathNet took a long time. Researchers found many booklets in different languages.
The paper about MathNet will be presented in Brazil.
