He lost to Ahsanul Hafiz by a small margin and questioned the voting process.

The party says the vote was fair.

Erskine-Smith is a federal MP for Beaches-East York and some candidates were unhappy with his bid.

Erskine-Smith thinks the party leaders did not want him to win.
