The Australian player was hit for 56 runs in four overs, with four sixes and five fours, as Gujarat beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru with four wickets.
There was a lot of excitement when Josh Hazlewood started bowling, but Shubman Gill was ready and hit 24 runs in the first over.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru was counting on Josh Hazlewood to stop India's captain, but Shubman Gill played very well and hit many runs.
The first two balls were hit for four runs, the fourth ball was hit for six runs, and the fifth ball was hit for four runs, with another six runs hit over square leg.
The 24 runs hit in the over were the most Josh Hazlewood has given up in one over in his IPL career.
Josh Hazlewood gave up 64 runs in a game in 2022, but this time he gave up fewer runs.
He was also hit for a five when Virat Kohli hit four overthrows, and then hit for two more sixes by Jos Buttler.
Gujarat got to its target easily with 25 balls to spare and moved up to fifth place, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru stayed in second place.
Earlier, Gujarat's four fast bowlers bowled out Bengaluru despite Virat Kohli's good start.
Virat Kohli hit five boundaries in a row, and then Shubman Gill played very well to help Gujarat win.
Kagiso Rabada eventually got Virat Kohli out for 28, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru's middle order did not do well.
Arshad Khan took three wickets for 22 runs, and Jason Holder took two wickets and caught three balls to win the player of the match award.
The next IPL match will be between the Delhi Capitals and the Rajasthan Royals at midnight tonight.
