Visit Bursa, a Turkish city with great food

Turkey is a popular holiday spot for Brits. They like its beaches and Istanbul. But there's another city to visit: Bursa. It has history, culture, and great food.

The Ottoman Empire was in Europe, Asia, and Africa. It lasted over 600 years, until 1922.
Luke said: 'Bursa is underrated. It's overshadowed by Istanbul, but I want to change that.'
Luke said: 'Visit Tophane Park first. It's where old sultans are buried. You can see the whole city from there.'
Bursa has great food. Try iskender and tahini bread with simit. Iskender is lamb or chicken with tomato sauce and pita bread.
Luke said: 'You eat simit by dipping it in tahini. It's my usual breakfast.'
Luke said: 'Visit Koza Han, an old rest stop. You can get great Turkish coffee there.'
Luke said: 'Visit the Grand Bazaar. They sell everything, and it's cheaper than in Istanbul.'

The closest airport is Bursa Yenişehir, 30 miles from the city. But there are no direct flights from the UK.
You can fly to Istanbul, then hire a car or take a bus to Bursa. The flight takes four hours.
