People make a mistake by not securing a good exchange rate before buying. This is called 'hedging', and if the currency market changes, they can lose thousands.

On January 29, the Pound to US Dollar exchange rate was at its highest since September 2021.

A client was buying property in Florida and was advised to lock in the exchange rate as it might not last. This saved him money in the long run.

Property abroad is attractive to investors.

A flexible forward contract was used to secure the exchange rate with a small deposit.

The client saved £63,500 by securing the rate beforehand.

Failing to prepare for currency exchange can be costly. Many people use their banks and end up paying too much.
