EasyJet Flights: Passengers Worried About Missing Flights Due to Long Queues

Ireland and Cyprus are not part of the Schengen area, so EES is not required. Gov.uk says that you may be asked to provide your fingerprint or photo when exiting the Schengen area. The checks may take longer than before.

People are sharing concerns on social media about missing flights due to long passport control queues. One woman, Jenny, shared her worries about not getting through border control on time for her flight.

Jenny said she is worried that she won't have enough time to get through the airport with her child. She asked EasyJet if this would be okay.

EasyJet replied that their transport providers are local experts who will calculate the transfer pick-up time to ensure a stress-free journey. They said they will help if Jenny needs to make her own way to the airport.

Jenny asked if EasyJet would cover expenses and book an alternate flight if she misses her flight. The spokesperson said yes, their support teams will assist with rescue flights if required.

ABTA advises passengers to follow their transport provider's advice on arrival times. They should arrive at the airport at least two hours before their flight and check with their airline and airport.
