Sun Group and The Ascott Limited Partner to Expand Hospitality in Phu Quoc

The partnership between Sun Group and The Ascott Limited shows that international companies are still investing in Vietnam's tourism sector, which will give more options to travelers.

The Ascott Limited will manage four brands in Sun Group's developments, including The Crest Collection in Ho Chi Minh City and three brands in Phu Quoc's Sunset Town. This will be the first time lyf and Harris enter the Vietnamese market.

Sun Group and The Ascott Limited had a signing ceremony to mark their partnership.

The three new hospitality brands will give more options to people visiting Phu Quoc, especially those who want to stay for a long time. This could attract more visitors and make them stay longer on the island.

The partnership happens as travel between Phu Quoc and Singapore gets easier. Sun PhuQuoc Airways will start a direct flight from July 25, which will help more people visit from nearby countries.

The Ascott Limited is a company based in Singapore that manages over 1,000 properties in more than 40 countries.

David Cumming, a manager at The Ascott Limited, spoke at the event.

David Cumming said the company wants to give travelers what they need while helping Vietnam's hospitality sector grow.

The partnership will bring over 1,500 rooms to Phu Quoc's Sunset Town through three brands.

The Ascott Limited's serviced residences are for business travelers and those who stay for a long time. Lyf is for younger travelers who want flexible spaces, and Harris is for families.

There is an artist's impression of the developments overlooking the Kiss Bridge and Phu Quoc coastline.

The developments are on a mountain and will have views of the coastline and Kiss Bridge. Guests can also use Sun Group's facilities like cable cars and theme parks.

The partnership also introduces The Crest Collection in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Crest Collection is a luxury brand that focuses on personalized stays inspired by local culture. The Ho Chi Minh City property will have local elements in its design and guest experiences.

The launch shows that international hospitality operators are still interested in Vietnam's tourism market.
