Gigi Hadid says her relationship with Bradley Cooper feels new to her

Supermodel Bella Hadid walked to the New York opening of FX’s series “The Beauty” at the Museum of Modern Art, making a bold fashion choice.

Gigi Hadid talks openly about why her romance with Bradley Cooper feels different from her past relationships.

In a new Vogue France interview, the 31‑year‑old model shares a rare look into her private life with the Oscar‑nominated actor.

“What is beautiful about my current relationship, and so different from what I have experienced, is an ability to be deeply honest,” Hadid said. “To say what you think, when you think it.”

When the interviewer noted that honesty isn’t always easy, Hadid answered without hesitation.

“I know. But if that’s impossible, it probably means he’s not the right person,” she said.

Hadid’s frank comments follow weeks after she and 51‑year‑old Cooper sparked marriage rumors in Paris, where they wore matching left‑hand rings.

Page Six said the rings were Boucheron wedding bands, though neither star confirmed marriage. Days later Us Weekly reported a source said they were “promise rings,” not wedding bands.

The couple, linked since late 2023, have mostly kept their romance out of the public eye.

Hadid told Vogue in 2025 that staying private was not a strategic move.

“It’s just not part of our relationship to share for whatever reason,” she said, calling their bond “very romantic and happy.”

That privacy began to shift in May 2025, when Hadid announced the romance on Instagram while celebrating her 30th birthday.

She posted birthday photos, including a kiss with Cooper in front of a multi‑tiered cake.

“I feel so lucky to be 30!” she wrote. “I feel so lucky for every high and low, for all the lessons and gifts both have brought me.”

She added she felt “so lucky to be a mom, friend, partner, sister, daughter, colleague to some of the most unbelievable humans.”

Now, more than a year later, Hadid seems to be settling into a quieter chapter.

When asked by Vogue France how she felt, Hadid said friends have noticed a change.

“Right now my friends are saying to me: ‘Gigi, what’s going on? Looks like you’re 19 again,’” she said. “I just think I’m… serene.”

Part of that serenity seems to come from a life built away from the fashion world’s constant spotlight.

Hadid told the outlet that spending time in the countryside with her daughter, partner, friends and animals helps ground her before she returns to work.

“Living in the countryside surrounded by animals, with my daughter, my partner, my friends, is part of what recharges my batteries,” she said. “It allows me to appreciate the richness of fashion when I come back to it.”

The model also said she and Cooper talk about their careers even if they don’t always fully understand each other’s work demands.

“We don’t necessarily understand all the challenges of each other’s job, but the main thing is to have someone who supports you – and helps you keep your feet on the ground,” Hadid told Vogue France.

When asked whether a strong relationship needs work from both partners, Hadid gave another view.

“I would say it’s a trip for two,” she said.

Her latest comments echo earlier remarks about finding a partner who already knows what he wants from life.

“Knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential, and then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve… and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be,” Hadid previously told Vogue.

“I just feel really lucky. Yeah, lucky’s the word.”

The couple’s romance also gives Hadid a new way to experience one of the cities most linked to her career.

For years, she said Paris mainly meant work.

“I landed there, drove to the hotel where twenty photographers were waiting for me, impossible to walk, then in a car to a windowless studio,” Hadid told Vogue France.

That changed through Cooper, whom she described as someone who loves France and speaks French.

“Except that, recently, thanks to my boyfriend who loves France and speaks French, I discovered a completely different Paris that I adore,” she said.

Asked whether she could imagine living there, Hadid did not rule it out.

“So at some point, why not move there, yes…” she said.

Hadid’s growing sense of peace also extends to how she views fame and the image of her life shown to millions online.

“99% of my daily life is not online,” she told Vogue France. “What I’m posting is my way of celebrating the wonderful things in life. But Instagram remains 1% of my life.”

The model has lived much of her adult life in the public eye, becoming one of the industry’s most recognizable faces while still in her teens.

She told Vogue France that the visibility she once dreamed about eventually became overwhelming.

“It was around the age of 19 that this visibility began,” Hadid said. “At first, it’s true that this is what you dream of. And, little by little, the noose tightens. You lose control.”

“And it becomes overwhelming, because you end up only living through the eyes of others,” she continued.

These days, Hadid said she has found a better balance between fame and her private life.

“Today, I have found a balance between my life as a mom in Pennsylvania and my public life,” she said.
