British Tourist Charged for Pushing Airline Staff

Arudchelvan Karnan got five charges on August 12. He was charged with harassment and other things.

Karnan was drunk and shouting at the airport on July 20.

He said bad words to a female staff member and said she was racist.

People were at Changi Airport in Singapore.

Karnan pushed a staff member and hurt her after he was told to leave the flight.

The flight to Kuala Lumpur was late by 45 minutes because of this.

Karnan went to court on August 12 and wanted a lawyer.

His case will be in court again on August 19.

If Karnan is guilty, he could be fined and jailed for six months.

Using bad words can result in a fine of up to S$5,000.

Going into a protected place without permission can result in a big fine or jail time.
