Shuttle‑bus mistake at Gimpo leads to Korean Air fine

According to The Korea Herald, Korean Air flight KE2106 arrived from Tokyo on June 7.

After the plane landed, 52 passengers got on a shuttle bus that should have taken them to the international terminal.

Korean Air said the bus driver, who works for a ground‑handling company, drove the bus to the domestic terminal by mistake.

Because the domestic terminal has no immigration desks, four passengers walked out of the airport without the required passport checks, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.

The four passengers later returned to finish their immigration checks, and Korean Air worked with airport authorities to process all 52 travelers.

Skipping immigration is a breach of Korean regulations, so the aviation authority fined Korean Air $7,000.
