0:00Orgasm is a reflex of the autonomic
0:02nervous system. Now, this is the part of
0:04the nervous system that deals with the
0:05things that we don't consciously control
0:08like digestion, heart rate, and sexual
0:10arousal. And the orgasm reflex can be
0:13triggered by a surprisingly broad range
0:16of input. Genital stimulation, duh. Uh
0:20but also, uh Kinsey interviewed a woman
0:22who could be brought to orgasm by having
0:25someone stroke her eyebrow.
0:27Uh people with spinal cord injuries like
0:29paraplegias, quadriplegias will often
0:32develop a very very sensitive area um
0:35right above the level of their injury
0:37wherever that is. Uh there's such a
0:40thing as a knee orgasm in the
0:41literature. The most curious one that I
0:43came across was a it was a case report
0:45of a woman who had an orgasm every time
0:49she brushed her teeth. Now you would
0:50think this woman would like have
0:52excellent oral hygiene.
0:56Um, sadly she, this is what it said in
1:00the journal paper. She believed that she
1:02was possessed by demons and switched to
1:04mouthwash for her oral care. It's so
1:06sad. When I was working on the book, I
1:08interviewed a woman who can think
1:10herself to orgasm. I said to her, "Are
1:13you just doing this all the time?"
1:17She said,
1:19"No, honestly, when I get home, I'm
1:20usually too tired.
