Long Thanh Airport's Passenger Terminal Nears Completion

The main structure is finished, and workers are now installing the roof and doing interior work. They aim to finish the terminal by September.
This is the construction site of Long Thanh airport's passenger terminal in November 2025.
The equipment needed for trial operations is being installed. This includes the baggage handling system and the conveyor system. Workers are testing these systems.
Most of the checked baggage screening machines have been delivered. Ten explosive detection scanners have been installed, and all customs baggage scanners are in place. More screening equipment is being added.
The carry-on baggage screening system is also making progress, with 214 units delivered and many installed.
The passenger boarding bridges are mostly installed, and workers are doing electrical connections and trial runs. All visual docking guidance systems have been delivered, and installation is underway.
The project covering essential aviation facilities is 80% complete. Major construction packages are 70% done.
Key infrastructure like roads, the first runway, and taxiways are finished. The second runway's concrete work is done, and equipment installation will start soon. The fuel supply system is 80% complete.
There will be three trial operations between September and November. Agencies will inspect and certify the airport to ensure it meets requirements before it opens.
Long Thanh International Airport will be a major aviation hub, helping reduce congestion at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and improving the region's aviation standing.
