New Office Building at Changi Airport to be Ready in 2 Years

Changi Airport Group will build a new office building in two parts, giving tenants natural light and fresh air on every floor.

The new building will meet the growing need for office space from airlines and businesses near the airport. Nakano Singapore will build it.

The airport's current office space is almost full, so more space is needed before Terminal 5 opens in the mid-2030s. This will help the airport grow.

Many aviation companies need offices at the airport for daily work, and others benefit from being there for convenience.

Terminal 5 will increase the airport's passenger capacity by over 55% when it opens.

The new building will have about 9,600 square meters of office space and will be the airport's first standalone office building.

The first part of the building will be ready in the first half of 2028, and the coach station will follow later that year.

The construction will be done in two parts to minimize disruptions. The Urban Redevelopment Authority approved the plans in February.

The project will give the airport's partners a good workspace environment, according to Changi Airport Group vice president Steve Tay.
