Canadian Open Faces Another Big Problem

The Canadian Open has a big problem. A third Canadian player had to leave the tournament. Felix Auger-Aliassime was supposed to play Titouan Droguet on Wednesday.

Felix Auger-Aliassime called a press conference and said he couldn't play because of a back injury. This happened just before his match, so the organizers had to find a new player for the main night session.

The tournament said Felix Auger-Aliassime has a back injury from practice. His opponent, Titouan Droguet, moves on to the next round. Another match will be played at 7 p.m. on the Central Court.

This happened a day after two other Canadian players, Denis Shapovalov and Gabriel Diallo, had to stop playing their matches.

Felix Auger-Aliassime was supposed to play on Tuesday, but he played on Wednesday instead. The organizers gave him extra time to feel better.

Felix said, 'I started having pain on Monday. It happened suddenly. I had no problems before, but it has happened to me before.'

Felix said, 'The timing is bad. I got an extra day to prepare, but I couldn't serve when I warmed up. So, I couldn't compete.'

Denis Shapovalov played Zachary Svajda on Tuesday. He took a break for medical help when the match was going to a third set. He played on, but he was hurt and decided to stop.

Denis Shapovalov said his body was 'done' and he couldn't play anymore. He had an ankle injury from a tournament over the weekend.

Denis said, 'My body started to hurt in many places. I had problems in my leg and knee. It was because of my ankle injury.'

Gabriel Diallo was crying when he had to stop playing on Tuesday. He was hurt and couldn't continue his match against Luciano Darderi.

Gabriel said, 'I had some pain in my leg, but it was okay. Then I felt something strange and I had to stop playing.'
