Kuala Lumpur driver smashes side mirror of car blocking his way, faces up to 5 years in prison
The mirror was left dangling by its wiring while the driver got back in his SUV and left.
The street is lined with shophouses, with most cars parked nose-in. The MPV was parked parallel along the lane, effectively taking up space meant for through traffic.

The footage quickly went viral, splitting opinion online. Many sided with the Honda driver, calling the MPV's parking selfish. Others pointed out that no matter how inconsiderate the parking, intentionally damaging someone's vehicle is a criminal offense.
"Anger is no excuse to damage someone's vehicle. Side mirrors are expensive! If you're brave enough to vandalize, don't try to run. Wait for the police. You went from being in the right to being in the wrong," one commenter wrote.
Under Section 427 of Malaysia's Penal Code, mischief causing damage exceeding 25 ringgit (US$6.40) carries imprisonment of one to five years, a fine, or both. A car side mirror typically costs far more.
Police are now hunting the driver.
Cheras district police chief Mohd Rosdi Daud said a report was lodged at around 8:40 p.m. on March 10, Berita Harian reported.
The case is being investigated under Section 427 for mischief causing damage, Section 506 for criminal intimidation, and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities, Malay Mail reported.
Police are coordinating with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to identify the suspect, the vehicle owner, and the TikTok account holder.
