UK drivers got an update on car insurance.

The average car insurance cost is £560. This is £1 more than the last quarter of 2025 and £20 less than the first quarter of 2025.

Insurers paid £2.9 billion in claims. £1.9 billion was for vehicle repairs. This is a 3% rise from the last quarter of 2025.

The average damage claim is £3,699. This is 8% more than the last quarter. The ABI says this is due to higher parts prices and more complex vehicles.
