Many Stores and Bank Branches Are Closing

Many stores are closing.

More stores on the high street are saying they will close soon. This means many jobs are at risk. Quiz, a fashion brand, and some Morrisons Daily stores are among them.

Quiz had financial problems before, in February 2025, but was bought by its original owners. This time, it will stop selling by July and is having a big sale.

The Quiz website says all items must be sold and all sales are final.

Quiz stores inside other shops like New Look and Matalan will stay open.

About 100 Morrisons Daily stores will close soon.

Morrisons said about 100 of its small stores will close because they were not making money. These stores were bought in 2022 as part of a rescue deal.

Morrisons already said some stores in Yorkshire would close, and now a store in Berkshire will also close.

Lloyds Bank is also closing many of its branches.

A Lloyds spokesperson said customers have many ways to bank, including other branches, the Post Office, and online services, so the closures will not affect them much.
