Jet2 has explained its baggage rules after a customer asked for help. The customer was getting ready for their summer holiday.

The customer contacted Jet2 on social media on June 23. They had booked their trip with Jet2holidays and were leaving the next week.

The customer asked about their luggage allowance. They wrote: 'We have 3 x 22kg baggage allowance. Can we check in two bags if the weight doesn't exceed the allowance?'

The customer asked if they could check in one 23kg suitcase and one 25kg suitcase. Jet2 replied to explain the options.

Jet2 said: 'You can put your luggage in two suitcases instead of three, as long as it doesn't exceed 66kg and no single bag is over 32kg.'

According to Jet2's rules: 'If your luggage is too heavy, we might carry it, but you'll have to pay £12 per kg extra. No single bag can weigh more than 32kg.'

You can add extra luggage when you book or later. Just enter your booking details and go to 'Add Holiday Essentials'.

Jet2 was asked another question about luggage weight rules. A passenger had received different information before.

The passenger said: 'We were told we get two extra carry-ons like a buggy and travel cot that will be checked at the gate.'

The passenger had two 22kg checked bags and were told they got 'an extra 10kg for the baby'. Jet2's website says passengers get 'an extra 10kg allowance for infants' and 'up to two items per child or infant free'.

The passenger asked if the extra 10kg could be combined with a 22kg case. They said they received mixed messages on their last Jet2 trip.

The passenger asked Jet2 to clarify the rules because they were told different things on their last holiday.

Jet2 replied: 'The extra 10kg is added to one adult's baggage, so you can have one 32kg bag and one 22kg bag.'
