Lionesses made history as K-Pop's first LGBTQ+ boy group.

The 4 members met in LGBTQ+ places in South Korea. They wanted to make music for the LGBTQ+ community. They hope to help young LGBTQ+ musicians.

The group's name comes from real lionesses. Damjun said lionesses rule the jungle, not male lions. Lionesses hunt and lead the group.

Lionesses want to promote queer acceptance in their music. South Korea has improved, but there's still work to do. Foxman thinks society is still conservative.

Lionesses are the first boy group with all openly LGBTQ+ members.

Their debut single was 'Show Me Your Pride' in October 2021.

The group is active on social media and YouTube. They had 4 members, then 3 after Foxman left. They had a comeback in June 2024 with 'Like Christina taught me'.

The members focused on solo work. Malrang released a single, but fans didn't like it. The group removed the song and celebrated 4 years in November 2025.

Damjun released his first album in December 2025.
