A Star Had Trouble Finding Jobs Because of Her Body

Beauty is different for everyone, but one star from Single’s Inferno had trouble because of how she looked.

Kang So Yeon is a strong woman who was on Single’s Inferno. She is an athlete, owns a boxing gym, and used to be a singer. She started working out when she was young because her family is athletic. Her dad, sister, and brother are all athletes.

Her family ate big meals with a lot of protein, even for breakfast. Her mom thought eating well was more important than getting to school on time.

Kang So Yeon said, “I think that helped me get strong, but it made it hard for me to be an actress in Korea because I don’t have the body that Koreans think is perfect. People told me I was too tall and too big for roles before I even auditioned.”

Instead of changing who she is to fit what people think is beautiful, So Yeon is making a career on her own terms. After Single’s Inferno, she got jobs advertising things that fit who she is.

Since the show, So Yeon has been in many ads for beauty companies and is enjoying her life.
