Idol Starts New Career After Accident

She survived a bad accident.

A former singer found a new job after something bad happened.

The group SNH48 is like AKB48. Tang Anqi started as a trainee in 2013 and joined the main team. She was a trainee before joining the main team.

Tang was 28th in the group's second election and sang in all songs until 2016.

In 2016, Tang got hurt in a fire at a café in Shanghai. She had bad burns on 80% of her body and needed many surgeries.

People thought her friend might have brought oil to scare her and it spilled. Some thought a fan did it. But people say Tang started the fire by accident.

Fans gave her the blood she needed, and on March 20, Tang said how she was doing.

By June 2017, Tang finished her first treatments and left Shanghai to recover.

Tang got better quietly until January 17, 2025, when she started streaming as a VTuber named 泽音Melody. At first, she didn't say it was her, but when fans found out, it was okay.

In January 2026, she had her first concert and sang SNH48 songs and talked about her life.

It's great to see her performing again.
