Van Dijk: Isak will succeed at Liverpool

Virgil van Dijk thinks Alexander Isak will do well at Liverpool.

Isak scored his first Premier League goal at Anfield, beating Crystal Palace 3-1. He had been out with a broken fibula for 100 days.

Van Dijk said Isak had a tough year with injuries. Isak is fit now and shows his skills in training and games.

Van Dijk is happy with Isak and thinks he will do fine after the World Cup.

As a striker, Isak can have a bad game but score and still be happy. Van Dijk thinks Isak is outstanding.

Isak needs to play and score to gain confidence. Van Dijk is not worried about him.

Isak's teammate Florian Wirtz also scored on Saturday.

Van Dijk said Wirtz and Isak will help shape Liverpool's future. They have quality and need to keep developing.

Van Dijk wants the team to do better next season.
