Max Verstappen's Penalty Points Removed

Max Verstappen will start the Monaco Grand Prix with a clean record after his penalty points were removed. He has had a tough start to the season, not winning any races. His best finish was third place at the Canadian Grand Prix, where he lost a battle for second place to Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen hopes to do better in Monaco, but his team Red Bull is not very fast. Qualifying is very important in Monaco because it's hard to pass other cars during the race. Mercedes and Ferrari are expected to challenge for the top starting position.

Verstappen is one of the best drivers and will try to use his skills to do better than his car.

He will also have a clean record, with no penalty points. Over the last year, some penalties that could have led to a race ban have expired.

Verstappen got three penalty points for driving into George Russell on purpose during last year's Spanish Grand Prix.

Those points, and some others, have now expired, so Verstappen will start Monaco with a clean record.

Some other drivers, like George Russell and Fernando Alonso, also have no penalty points.

Oliver Bearman has the most penalty points, with eight. Lance Stroll and Kimi Antonelli have five each.

Oscar Piastri has four penalty points, and Lewis Hamilton and Alex Albon have three each.

Franco Colapinto, Charles Leclerc, and Esteban Ocon each have one penalty point.

The last driver to get a race ban for having too many penalty points was Kevin Magnussen, who missed a race in 2024.

He is the only driver to have gotten a one-race suspension since the penalty points system started in 2014.
