The movie is based on a comic book, but the writer changed some parts to make it more interesting. Supergirl goes on a quest with a young girl named Ruthye to find a bad guy named Krem.

The movie starts where Superman left off, with Kara getting her dog Krypto back. They go to a place where Kara can't use her powers, so she gets drunk.

Kara meets Ruthye in a bar and decides to help her find Krem. But when Krem hurts Krypto, Kara gets serious about stopping him.

Kara and Ruthye's mission gets personal when Krypto is poisoned. They have to find Krem before it's too late.

The bad guys in the movie, called the Brigands, are very mean and hurt a lot of people. They even take girls from different planets to make them part of their group.
