PlayStation to Remove 551 Movies from Accounts

Two Paddington films will be removed.

PlayStation will delete hundreds of films from user accounts. This is due to licensing rules, and users will no longer be able to watch these movies.

PlayStation users can stream, rent, or buy movies on the PS4 and PS5. They can do this through the Sony Pictures Core app. PlayStation will remove 551 movies from accounts starting September 1.

The removed content includes classics like Terminator 2 and Shaun The Sheep Movie. Other films like Alan Partridge and Paddington will also be unavailable.

Users will no longer have access to these films.

PlayStation's message says that due to licensing agreements, users will lose access to previously purchased content from Studio Canal starting September 1.
