While no incidents occurred, the video incited public anger due to the evident risk involved.
Hoang Anh, who has visited both the Kham Thien and Phung Hung railroad segments, noted that the former feels especially perilous because of the intense suction created by trains.
"Even being near the wall feels risky."
One individual commented online: "For just a few moments of TikTok content, she took such a gamble. I can’t grasp what was going through her mind."
Phuong Anh, the café proprietor, mentioned that the event actually took place last year, but the patron only uploaded the video recently.
There have been several comparable occurrences at these locations in the past. In October 2025, a train collided with and overturned tables and chairs after customers set them too near to the tracks and leaned out for pictures.
Since 2018, cafés along the railway on Le Duan, Kham Thien, Tran Phu, and Phung Hung streets, part of the well-known Hanoi Train Street, have attracted thousands of visitors each day despite an existing prohibition.
