Thailand's Main Airline to Reduce Flights to Asia

In Southeast Asia, flights from Bangkok to Singapore will decrease from 5 to 4 per day.

Flights to Vietnam are unchanged, but Cambodia routes will be greatly reduced in May.

Northeast Asia will also be affected by these changes.

Thai Airways will stop flying to Kaohsiung starting May 8.

Flights to key cities like Seoul, Beijing, and Shanghai will be reduced.

In Europe, flights to Frankfurt, Munich, Copenhagen, and Stockholm will go from daily to just 5 per week to save costs.

The airline made these changes because fewer people are traveling and costs, especially fuel, are higher.

Some other Thai airlines like Thai Lion Air and Thai AirAsia already stopped some flights to Asia due to higher fuel costs.

A research company in Bangkok predicts 9.2% fewer foreign visitors to Thailand in the next quarter, and this will affect travel demand.
