The survey said New Brighton's food and drink were not good. But Lee Chean, who owns a coffee shop, disagrees.

Despite the changes, Ian Reid thinks New Brighton still has charm for many people.

Ian said a friend who moved away for 40 years has come back to New Brighton to retire and is very happy.
