UK Airports Update on Jet Fuel

Edinburgh Airport is back to normal.

Flights were late at two big UK airports on Sunday. Ten flights from Glasgow and Edinburgh were delayed.

The two airports in Scotland are now back to normal after jet fuel issues on Sunday.

There is a global jet fuel problem because of the Iran war. But the issue at the Scottish airports was due to a lack of fuel truck drivers.

Edinburgh Airport said 10 flights were late on Sunday, but fuel deliveries started again on Monday.

Glasgow Airport said a short-term staff problem affected one fuel supplier. They are working to fix the issue and the airport is still open.

Fuel levels are now normal and there were no big problems, just some late flights. Airlines buy jet fuel and airports provide storage.
