UK Airline to Reduce Flights to Three Places

A UK airline will cut flights to three places next month due to money problems.

From July 19, Loganair will have fewer flights to Inverness, Stornoway, Orkney, and Shetland.

Now, Loganair has daily flights from Inverness to Orkney and Shetland, and also to Stornoway.

After the cuts, flights between these places will only be on weekends.

The CEO of Loganair said they do not make these decisions easily.

He said that higher fuel prices and other costs mean they must find a way to keep important routes open even with few passengers.

These routes are important to the airline and the communities, but they must balance this with keeping the airline sustainable.

The CEO said they might bring back full services in October if they get more money.

The company that owns some airports, Hial, is helping with some money, but it must be affordable.
