TUI Starts New Flights to a Place Like the Maldives

TUI has a new flight from London Gatwick to a sunny place.

TUI is starting a new direct flight to a sunny island like the Maldives.

From July 2, people can buy package holidays with direct flights to Zanzibar in Tanzania.

The new flight will go from London Gatwick twice a week, starting on November 3, 2027, and ending on March 22, 2028.

Zanzibar is known as the Spice Island and has white-sand beaches, green forests, and flat grasslands. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

TUI's holiday packages go on sale on July 2.

Zanzibar is a great place for winter sun, with temperatures between 23°C and 32°C all year. It's cheaper than the Maldives and Mauritius.

The cost of visiting Zanzibar is one of its best features.

People usually spend between £21 and £109 per day in Zanzibar, which is about £50 on average.

This is much cheaper than the Maldives, where people spend around £265 per day. A one-week trip to the Maldives for two people costs about £3,800.

The Maldives is more expensive because it has private-island resorts and overwater bungalows. But Zanzibar has beautiful beaches and water at a lower price.

TUI is offering a safari experience with its Zanzibar holidays. The safari starts with a short flight to national parks.

TUI also offers a tour of a national park and a spice farm, where people can see monkeys and learn about Zanzibar's history.

TUI owns several hotels in Zanzibar, including the TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar and The Mora Zanzibar. These hotels have private pools and family rooms.

A seven-night holiday to Zanzibar, including flights and hotel, starts at £2,085 per person.

Another option is the Zanzibar Bay Resort, which starts at £1,615 per person for a seven-night holiday.

TUI is not the only company that offers holidays to Zanzibar.

There are also cheap hostels, like the Lost and Found Hostel, which costs £16 per night.

The Makofi Zanzibar is another budget option, with dorms and private rooms, and a restaurant on site.

Several airlines fly from the UK to Zanzibar, including Ethiopian Airlines and Turkish Airlines. These flights usually have one or two stops.
