Japan Increases Visa Fees for Tourists

Japan has increased its visa fees for tourists, making it more expensive to visit.

From July 1, visitors will pay 15,000 yen for a single-entry visa, up from 3,000 yen. Multi-entry visas will cost 30,000 yen, up from 6,000 yen. This is a big increase. The new fees apply to visa applications submitted on or after July 1.

The visa fee increase is five times higher than before, which is a lot. This is the first time Japan has increased its visa fees in 48 years.
