Before the LIV New York tournament, O'Neil announced that they found an investor to keep LIV Golf going. He didn't give many details about the investor.
O'Neil said they have an agreement with a lead investor to support the next phase of LIV Golf.
O'Neil also said that the players will own most of LIV Golf, which is a first for a big sports league.
It's not clear what LIV Golf will look like in the future or which players will compete. The plan is to have 10 events in 2027, with 5 in the US and 5 elsewhere.
Scott O'Neil was at the LIV Golf South Africa tournament on March 22, 2026.
