Halifax police need the public's help to find lost ammunition from a foot chase.

Police were chasing a robbery suspect on Green Road in Dartmouth at 10:35 a.m.

An officer's ammunition magazine fell off during the chase.

The suspect was caught, but the ammunition was not found on him, and a search did not find it.

It is against the law for the public to have police equipment, and people with it could be charged.

Police ask anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
