The algorithm has been a mystery since Season 2. Now, in Season 3, we have a new clue from an exchange between Camille and the voice in the vault. We still don't have answers, but this clue helps.

What was said and what does it mean?

Camille went into the vault and yelled at the algorithm. She said they made a mistake by letting Juliette go back to Silo 17. The algorithm was silent for 10 seconds before it spoke. Camille asked if it was there, and then the algorithm responded. Camille was feeling the pressure of her job.

The algorithm asked what was a mistake. For a moment, it sounded frustrated, and Camille looked confused.

The algorithm went back to its normal cold logic after a few minutes. But did we see a small mistake?

We've been wondering if the algorithm is a computer or a human. Most of the time, it sounds like a computer with its robotic voice and fast use of statistics.

But maybe there's a person on the other side of the screen with access to a lot of data?

The conversation makes us think the answer might be yes. A computer wouldn't get irritated or be slow to respond, but a human might.
