Singapore police say they are investigating one of the biggest iron traders in the world

The police did not say who made the reports or what the complaints could be.

A Radiant World spokesperson did not answer right away when asked for comment after UK business hours.

Bloomberg said last week the U.S. Justice Department is probing Radiant World. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is also reviewing trades linked to the firm. Sources familiar with the case said the review includes the company's creditors.

Radiant World says it runs its business according to the highest commercial and legal standards.

In recent weeks, the firm has faced scrutiny from partners due to worries about the invoices it gave its banks.

Commodities broker Marex Group froze all Radiant World accounts after claims the iron ore trader used false invoices to obtain money, two informed sources close to the case earlier this week said.
